The Lego Star Wars Mandalorian Starfighter is 20% off

The Lego Star Wars Mandalorian Starfighter is on sale right now at Walmart(opens in new tab) for $47.99. At a spectacular 20% off, the best of the season, this will let you save up your precious credits for the next deal.

The set is a clear throw-back to 2008’s The Clone Wars, but the odds on this starship connecting with fans of other franchise hits are in your favor. Bounty hunters who enjoy The Mandalorian, the Book of Boba Fett, or the Skywalker Saga series will likely find connections they can deploy for their benefit. This 540-piece, heavily modified variant of the standard Imperial AT-ST walker measures approximately 9 inches (25 centimeters) high, 5” (15cm) long, and 5” (13cm) wide, and should make an admirable addition to your fleet of Star Wars vehicles, regardless of its tarnished reputation.

If you need to give your kids a primer on this spaceship, as it is classified for ages nine and above, do know that the entire Clone Wars television show is available on Disney Plus as well. That will introduce your youngsters to Bo-Katan Kryze and Gar Saxon, and help them appreciate what the other Minifigure (a Mandalorian Loyalist) means in Star Wars lore. Also included are five blaster pistols and a jetpack.

This set is no small endeavor, at 544 pieces and with several hours of work to perform. The younger ones may want some adult help, not that we’re complaining at all. Happily, Lego is famous for intuitive instructions to ease the build, and with time and some homemade Jawa Juice, you’ll be sure to meet success quickly. The Lego Star Wars AT-ST Raider comes complete with a swiveling turret, firing armament, and four mini-figures of The Mandalorian, Cara Dune, and a pair of Klatooinian Raiders. They’re well-armed with three blaster rifles and a blaster pistol to replicate that memorable scene from The Mandalorian episode, “Sanctuary.”

As seen in The Mandalorian Season 1, the AT-ST Raider was a customized, beefed-up version of the regular military mech and was used to raid a village on the planet Sorgan by Klatooinian tribesmen following the fall of the Galactic Empire. Rated for padawans aged 8 and above, flexible features for play on the Lego Star Wars sets include a turning top section, a cockpit to insert your Minifigures, and an authentic leg design that is true to what you saw on the screen. With a few sticks, rope, and logs, the cute critters were able to embarrass the Empire and literally bring the AT-STs to their knees. Forest warfare might not be the mech’s most efficient tactical deployment!

Star Wars legend Phil Tippett and his Academy Award-winning visual effects team used their impressive stop-motion skills to bring these miniature machines to life in the original trilogy’s last two entries, and they’re still a beloved (if often mocked) part of the official Star Wars canon.

If you’re looking for more deals for your Lego Star Wars fan, check out the deep discounts available on the Millennium Falcon, the Mandalorian Starfighter, and the Imperial Shuttle. Whatever you choose, nab that space vehicle fast before it disappears off-planet.
