A series of fights, commonly referred to as “fight nights,” take place across the world as part of the mixed-martial-arts promotion known as the Ultimate Fighting Championship. It describes itself as the “top MMA organization.” Of course, mixed martial arts have been practiced for more than 5,000 years and are nothing new.
Zuffa, LLC, an entirely owned subsidiary of Endeavor Group Holdings, is its owner and operator.

In a recent fight, Adesanya defeated the title rival and successfully defended his title a sixth time. UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya caused quite a stir with an entrance that was modeled by WWE superstar The Undertaker before the UFC 276 main event. The subsequent performance wasn’t as interesting as it may have been as Adesanya steadily defeated Jared Cannonier by unanimous decision.

The main components of Adesanya’s strategy were leg kicks, feinting, and working the jab. Israel Adesanya vs. Jared CannonierIsrael Adesanya vs. Jared CannonierIsrael Adesanya vs. Jared Cannonier.

 A series of fights,

A mid-fight change to work from the clinch against the cage was made by Cannonier. Unfortunately for the challenger, he was hardly able to do anything offensively other than delivering knees to Adesanya’s thighs when he was able to secure a clinch.

The bout lacked exciting action sequences and instead focused on Adesanya’s technical prowess and her ability to counter Cannonier’s use of force with her talents. Adesanya frequently retreated out of striking range after landing one or two blows, leaving Cannonier to try for a counterpunch.

Adesanya was able to stay on his feet throughout the match, continuing to display an advancement of his wrestling abilities, or at least the ability to invalidate the wrestling of his opponents. Cannonier made sporadic takedown attempts in addition to clinching up against the cage. Cannonier only had any chance of succeeding by working from the clinch, therefore he made an effort to revert to that strategy.

By the fourth round, the crowd had started to boo loudly whenever Cannonier instigated clinches or when the two fighters were close to one other but didn’t exchange any pyrotechnics. By the fifth round, several spectators had started to leave the venue.

Adesanya had earned the decision after the five rounds of action, but the support from the walkout was gone when the scores of 49-46, 49-46, and 50-45 were announced, all of which were in his favor.

After the fight, Adesanya was questioned about his career’s next move after eliminating nearly all of the top 185-pound contenders. Adesanya called out Alex Pereira, who has defeated him twice in kickboxing, twice by violent knockout, and who earlier on the main night knocked out Sean Strickland.

Adesanya added to Pereira, “[Our prior bout] was a mistake on my behalf. “I’ll put you on skates the next time, just as I stated at the press conference. Like Elsa in the movie Frozen, you’ll be departing.”On Saturday, CBS Sports was at your side the entire time, giving you all the outcomes and highlights from the UFC 276 below.
