WHY IS EVERYONE TALKING ABOUT BOOMERS SICKER THAN THEIR PARENTS WERE AT THE SAME AGE?
Baby bombers are recognized as the group the people who were born between 1946 to 1964. From 1946 to the early 1960s there was a rapid increase in the population and the economics of the USA, Europe, and several others countries. The dramatic rise in the birth rate in the USA after the Second world war was called “the baby bombers.” This rise was because after the first world war USA military got a stipend of 60 dollars and after the second world war they got way better than earlier. Over 10 million soldiers returned to their homes after serving military and they were anxious to start a family. Later when the war ended the US government published a billing name “the G.I bill” which was a piece of legislation that gave them the ability to accompany a colleague and buy a house. This provided them with everything they need to start a family and was the main reason behind the baby boomers’ prosperity.
During the year 1945 to 1964 more than 75 million babies were born in the USA, this happened soon after the war was over. In July 1957, British Prime minister Harold MacMillan said that“ Most of our people have had it so good.” Baby boomers hold a significant population of 45% of that time. Their expensive, savings and trends have a greater impact on a country’s GDP growth. An estimation of 70% of the disposable earnings is regulated by the baby boomers today which makes them the biggest spender of all time.
Recent news said that Boomers are sicker than their parents were at intervals. According to new research, despite considerable advancements in medicine, baby boomers are in worse health than their parent’s generation.
According to a new study, while living longer than preceding generations, baby boomers are less active and suffer from more health problems than their parents.
“Despite their longer life expectancy, U.S. baby boomers have higher rates of chronic disease, more disability, and lower self-rated health than members of the previous generation at the same age,” said Dr. Dana E. King, a study author and a professor and head of family treatment at West Virginia University in Morgantown.
Researchers reviewed data from Americans aged 51 and up who took part in a biennial study funded by the National Institute on Aging in the United States for the study.
The timelines of different generations frequently diverge. However, this study divided people into generations based on when they were born, such as the Greatest Generation (born before 1923); early Depression children (1924 to 1930); late Depression children (1931 to 1941); war babies (1942 to 1947); early boomers (1948 to 1953); mid boomers (1954 to 1959); and late baby boomers (born after 1959). (born 1960 to 1965).
Heart illness, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, arthritis, lung disease, cancer excluding skin cancer depressive symptoms, and problems
Baby boomers can prevent this from occurring “We should all be exercising every day,” said Sarkisian, who analyzed the data. “This contains aerobic action and stability activity to help reduce falls, improved mobility, and boost metabolism.”
Chubbiness is a danger for many chronic health disorders, she continued, so it’s equally crucial to maintain a healthy weight.
