To prevent the threat of Omicron, a new variant of the corona virus, the central government has made a seven-day home quarantine mandatory for every traveler coming from 12 high-risk countries including England and South Africa.

Keeping in mind the new variant of Corona, Omicron, the central government has issued new guidelines for foreign passengers. These guidelines will be applicable from December 1. According to this, travelers coming to India from any international destination will be asked for a record of their travel history of the last 14 days, that is, they will have to give complete information about which countries they visited during this period.

8,309 new covid cases in India in last 24 hours

According to the report released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 8,309 new Kovid cases, 236 deaths and 9,905 recoveries have been registered in India in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases is 1,03,859 (lowest in last 544 days). As of 8 am today, the total vaccination figure across the country is 1,22,41,68,929.

RTPCR test necessary for those coming from outside in Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand DG-Health Dr. Tripti Bhaguna informed that all CMOs have been directed to conduct RT-PCR COVID19 test at all state borders for all travelers coming from outside the state. All the districts have directed the CMOs that if any passenger coming from outside the state shows symptoms of Kovid, then he should be tested. If found corona positive, keep in quarantine for 14 days.

A person returned from South Africa to Maharashtra found corona positive

A person who returned from South Africa to Maharashtra has been found infected with the corona virus. An official of Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation said that a person who returned from South Africa to Thane in Maharashtra has been found to be corona test positive. However, the official says that it is not yet confirmed whether the patient has an Omicron variant of the corona virus. The patient is currently kept in the isolation center.

It is being told that mutations are happening twice as fast in Omicron as compared to the Delta variant.
